Creating three availability groups
To eliminate the single point of failure, we implemented three availability groups. This configuration involved setting up two database servers for each core system. If one server experienced a failure, the other could seamlessly take over, ensuring continuous operation.
This approach can be likened to installing a backup generator for a critical facility. Just as a backup generator ensures power remains uninterrupted during an outage, the availability group guaranteed that the healthcare provider’s systems would stay online, even in the face of hardware failures.
